Black Towns of Oklahoma Bike Tour

The Black Towns of Oklahoma Bike Tour raises awareness of the history of Oklahoma's historic Black towns, with a focus on supporting the remaining communities of Tullahassee, Redbird, and Taft. Riders based in Muskogee, Oklahoma, can choose from four distances: roughly 25, 40, 50, or 60 miles.

The routes pass historic sites such as Summit, Rentiesville, and the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame, and highlight the significance of the Battle of Honey Springs during the Civil War. The event includes local food vendors, welcome tents, and chances to meet community leaders and learn about the region's cultural heritage. A bike GPS is recommended for navigation.
