About
The Bali Mountain Marathon takes runners into the volcanic highlands of northern Bali, around Tua, on 10 January 2027, combining steep climbs, lush forest trails and spectacular ridges. Two trail distances are on offer, the BMM45 (45 km) and the BMM30 (30 km), both starting at 06:00.
The course passes the shores of a crater lake, dense jungle and sections lined with waterfalls and mountain streams, making for a race that is both technical and visually striking. Mountain villages line parts of the route, adding a cultural dimension as runners pass through peaceful highland communities. With several race options for all abilities, the event offers an intense mountain challenge in one of Indonesia’s most impressive natural landscapes.
