Jersey is a Channel Island just 20 km off the French coast, and the race, held every August for the past ten years, follows the island's coastline anticlockwise, between cliffs, sandy beaches and woodland.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>The three formats are a marathon (42.195 km), a half marathon (21.0975 km) and the 77 km ultra, with 1,770 metres of elevation gain, which can also be run as a team of two or five. The route crosses St Ouen's Bay, the island's largest bay, and Jersey National Park with its 145 hectares of dunes and granite rocks, before passing close to La Corbière lighthouse.
