The first five kilometres follow a flat route out of Retford along North Road towards Barnby Moor.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>A gentle rise at Barnby Moor leads onto another flat stretch before a left turn towards Torworth. This section becomes a winding road with long climbs that takes runners to Blyth Road. From there, a mostly downhill section leads back to Barnby Moor, before a right turn onto a scenic country road that joins the main road towards Worksop.
