Start and finish are in the city centre; the route heads out to the coast and through the Penrhyn Castle estate, then runs along Garth Pier above the Menai Strait, with views of Anglesey, Snowdonia and the North Wales coastline, before returning to town.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>The terrain changes everything on the half marathon: with more than 700 metres of climbing, time goals should be set around the hills rather than average pace per kilometre. Hill sessions in training and the ability to pick the pace back up after the descents will pay off.
